About Izzy Blackman
Izzy started racing when she was 6 in a dirt crit series in the north of Scotland, not fully understanding what racing was about she stopped to help the smaller kids around the first corner.
When Izzy was old enough she raced in the Highland Hardlines and Aberdeen enduro series on her Hope academy bike. When she became aware of the Hope academy races run by the PMBA at Gisburn, and 4 days after her 11th birthday in 2023 she competed in the U-16 full enduro at Gisburn and the Graythwaite and Grizedale epic a month later and hasn’t looked back since.
Izzy loves riding in the PMBA enduro’s because of the fun and friendly atmosphere, she’s most at home on steep muddy trails and long rides in the mountains of the Scottish highlands.
