Kirroughtree, this is our “family round” with great camping facilities, permanent showers and toilets and a course that’s just pure fun.
Often racers will bring the whole family, as the idyllic camping area and permanent brick shower/toilet block gives a holiday vibe; enhanced by the smells from many BBQ’s in the evening. Late in the year, September is not overly problematic with the midges either – but still come prepared!
Another packed weekend of Enduro for all, WMN and Academy finals on the Saturday, and the final of the main enduro series on the Sunday. Introducing a little off piste action to the Academy Series, and minimising overlap between the Saturday and Sunday courses. While Kirroughtree’s Academy course will also again help with progression through the year by fractionally increasing the stage difficulty from the previous 2 rounds.
We could well see the camp HQ spreading out into the overflow camping if our new grassroots series is as popular as we hope. The original home of the U10’s free enduro will again see a swarm of balance bikes down the “taster loop” while the older ones furiously pedal in the U10s PMBA Hope Academy Enduro on Saturday afternoon. The U10s event will open entries about a month before, with priority given to those families already attending one of the other events over the weekend – again there will be a 100 place limit.

The Academy Men U11 & U15 and Women U11 & U13 will have series podiums at this round, and as usual share the course with the PMBA Hope Women Enduro.
