Gisburn RD1 – Cancelled
Due to weather conditions.
It is with much regret that we have to cancels today’s Enduro at Gisburn Forest due to the conditions.
Everything was looking hopeful yesterday evening, but unfortunately the weather came in overnight leaving snow and drifts at the forest, but also on the roads leading to the forest.
As always, we consider the safety of the competitors, marshals, medical staff and volunteers when making these hard choices, but their and your well-being comes first.
Kev, who was at the forest overnight, did a track walk at 5am with the safety officer and determined the stages were unsafe, as well as the fire roads being unusable to our first responders and the cold too extreme to station marshals around the forest.
We apologise for such late notice in calling off this event, once Kev is out of the forest, he will have more details on what is going to happen next.
